I visited this restaurant after a hiatus of several years and was disappointed by the quality of the food. The service was good but the dishes we ordered lacked spark and interest. Maybe we just hit a bad night (June 26). I noticed that even the take-out counter was not busy at all! View all feedback.

I haven't been to Vijay's in about 30 years, though it is very close to home So we thought we'd give it a try.
I haven't been to India to try the original recipes but I am told that this is pretty good. Service is pretty good and there seem to be a lot of satisfied regulars.
I ordered food from Skip the Dishes and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely order from here again! Next time, I will pass on the vegetable pakoras as they were flat and dry, but the mango chutney was a nice addition.
I ordered three different curry dishes and one biryani. Being Indian myself, I can confidently say that I approve of them all. The dishes were full of flavor and tasted delicious. However, I was disappointed with the portion sizes as they were quite small. Each dish could only serve two people at most. Despite this, I would still consider ordering from here again.
