the menu seemed diverse and well thought out. it is a beautiful mood and I love that the kitchen is open and visible. everything seems fresh. I had crawling soup. it had great taste but was so salt I could?t even eat it. it wasn't just me. my friend got a cup and she thought the same thing. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Water's Edge Grill:
we went to breakfast during our stay in the resort. I saw a menu online and planned to order from him, but our server told us it was only for this buffet day. the buffet was absolutely a disappointment. I felt like I was at a golden corral, but paid $25 per person. to round it off, they left a woman at the table next to me to order from the regular menu after being told it was just buffet. definitely not recommend! We stayed at the Hyatt on the weekend of August 6th. After reading the reviews about the on-site restaurants, we were a bit hesitant, but we didn’t want to drive anywhere else, so we reluctantly made reservations. We ended up having a fantastic experience! I ordered the filet, cooked to a perfect medium, while my husband had the jerk chicken, which was packed with flavor. Our server, Karen, was delightful—very attentive and always greeted us with a warm smile! Everyone on the staff we interacted with was friendly and appeared genuinely happy.
The staff seemed overwhelmed, and it was clear that the restaurant had not reduced its seating capacity, with tables packed closely together. I understand that hiring and retaining staff can be challenging in a post-COVID world, but it’s unacceptable for a supposedly "high-end" restaurant associated with the Hyatt to suggest that patrons "just do the buffet because the kitchen is slow." If that were the only issue, it could be forgiven, but we also encountered undercooked meat being served and a constant presence of flies around our table and the buffet area. Considering the price of $40 per person, these problems are completely unacceptable. It's time to either increase staff wages or lower the number of tables so that guests receive better food and service.
