Amazing service and prices. Would give more than 5 stars if I could!
Stopped in for the first time today and it was great. Delicious and awesome price. I'll definitely be back (Bacon egg and cheese panini)
Stopped in from out of town before a meeting, held in an adjacent room. The cafe is cozy with lots of windows, definitely a local vibe. Greeted right away. I ordered a regular black coffee and was given option of light or dark. I drink my coffee black, and it was early, so I went dark. For a 16 oz., I paid $1.25 for a “smooth Mexican blend,” according to the server. I expressed that was a deal. The server then informed me that Overflow Cafe workers are all volunteers, which keeps the prices low. The coffee was indeed a high quality dark smooth roast, and I appreciated that the business is there to support the community. Enough said. Skip Starbucks and all other chains. Support this place.
The staff is polite and courteous and they will make sure if you have not eaten you will get a meal.
Great food and great people! The Ruben was delicious!
Tucked into Cambridge, this cozy volunteer-run café blends community purpose with home-style cooking. Known for expertly brewed fair-trade coffee and hearty sandwiches and soups at very low prices, it delivers generous portions, friendly service, and free local events in a casual, no-frills setting. Ideal for families, teens, and budget-minded travelers seeking authentic local flavor and takeout. Expect welcoming regulars, attentive volunteer staff, plain seating, and occasionally slow service as each meal is made with care.

The best part of Cambridge. Mike has put something special together here and is far from finished. This is a wonderful place to go on a Friday night if you are a teen, a parent, or really any age. It's entertaining and FREE!

I wonderful local place to eat, which supports a humane organization. I had one of the best Capri sandwiches I ever had. Generous, and with actual pine nuts in the pesto. The homemade vegetable soup was delicious. I had the sandwich, cup of soup(again, generous), and a glass of ice tea for about $8.50! Go there if you're in the Cambridge area, or even passing through onyour way to the beach.

I stopped by this café while visiting from out of town before attending a meeting in a nearby room. The café has a cozy atmosphere with plenty of windows, giving it a distinctly local feel. I was welcomed immediately upon entering. I ordered a regular black coffee and was given the choice between light or dark roast. Since I prefer my coffee black and it was early in the day, I opted for the dark roast. I paid just $1.25 for a 16 oz. cup of what the server described as a "smooth Mexican blend." I mentioned that this was a great deal. The server then informed me that all the workers at Overflow Café are volunteers, which I thought was wonderful.
I enjoyed freshly roasted coffee and found the food to be very reasonably priced. It's great to support this community ministry! The hardest part was choosing from the wide selection of coffee. I ended up buying a pound of Brazilian whole beans, and I love it!
This is a wonderful local restaurant that supports a humane organization. I had one of the best Caprese sandwiches I've ever tried—large portions and real pine nuts in the pesto! The homemade vegetable soup was also delicious. I got the sandwich, a hearty cup of soup, and a glass of iced tea for only about $8.50! If you're in the Cambridge area or even just passing through on your way to the beach, be sure to stop by this place!
