Stopped in from out of town before a meeting, held in an adjacent room. The cafe is cozy with lots of windows, definitely a local vibe. Greeted right away. I or... read more Stopped in from out of town before a meeting, held in an adjacent room. The cafe is cozy with lots of windows, definitely a local vibe. Greeted right away. I ordered a regular black coffee and was given option of light or dark. I drink my coffee black, and it was early, so I went dark. For a 16 oz., I paid $1.25 for a “smooth Mexican blend,” according to the server. I expressed that was a deal. The server then informed me that Overflow Cafe workers are all volunteers, which keeps the prices low. The coffee was indeed a high quality dark smooth roast, and I appreciated that the business is there to support the community. Enough said. Skip Starbucks and all other chains. Support this place.

Generous, and with actual pine nuts in the pesto. The homemade vegetable soup was delicious. I had the sandwich, cup of soup(again, generous), and a glass of ice tea for about $8.50! Go there if you're in the Cambridge area, or even passing through onyour way to the beach.

The café has a cozy atmosphere with plenty of windows, giving it a distinctly local feel. I was welcomed immediately upon entering. I ordered a regular black coffee and was given the choice between light or dark roast. Since I prefer my coffee black and it was early in the day, I opted for the dark roast. I paid just $1.25 for a 16 oz. cup of what the server described as a "smooth Mexican blend." I mentioned that this was a great deal. The server then informed me that all the workers at Overflow Café are volunteers, which I thought was wonderful.

If you're in the Cambridge area or even just passing through on your way to the beach, be sure to stop by this place!
