We had drinks and dinner at Catalyst. Our server, Leticia, was friendly, attentive, and pleasantly patient with at least one overly -complicated drink order. The food was quite tasty. I had the little leaf salad followed by the braised veal shank, which was silky tender but still with some firmness. Someone else got the tuna tartar followed by the lobster tortelini, which came with some extra chunks of lobster in a l... View all feedback.
What Jesus Huerta doesn't like about Catalyst:
I like the place and location as well as the service. However, I missed attention to detail in the elaboration of the food (both a “meh” corn clam chowder and a Catalyst salad). View all feedback.

Horrible, under cooked french fries. Two miserable fish tacos, an apology provided, but nothing coming close to offering is the 2 expresso at $20. Not going back.
Beautiful dining room. Food was hit or miss. We ordered a roasted spring onions special appetizer plate to share at the table and it was just (barely) roasted spring onions that were impossible to cut with a fork and knife without and had no or very little sauce or significant seasoning. Difficult to eat. The blue cod special was tasty. Our server was charming but somewhat distracted. Overall just an average lunch at a restaurant we were hoping would have been more enjoyable.
Ordered the weekly dips and spreads. Came to our table but no one explained what they were. The duck was over cooked and tough. The seared cod was good. Overall, we expected more. The lady clearing our plates did not even bother to ask how everything was.
Mother’s Day brunch was the biggest ripoff. If it weren’t for desperation at the last minute as another option fell through, I would never have selected this. Mediocre food. Kept having to ask for specific cutlery. Charged extra for juices and sparkling water. Put a gratuity automatically with no warning.
