I ordered one of the special dishes, and it felt so made home un the very good feeling of the word, but also so tasty as if it were something I wouldn't have at home. it wasn't busy at all, so waitress talked to us a bit more and we enjoyed the little chitchat. they have a few parking places so that also handy View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Old Spring:
I strongly advise against using this service. We made a reservation for a time slot until 9:30. After spending a fortune on a taxi to get there, we were told that the kitchen had closed early because the pub wasn't very busy. It's hard not to laugh at how poorly this was handled. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. View all feedback.
Nice venue but can’t understand why I had to book a table. When we arrived there it was no reserved table for us (outdoor) and the waiter said that in our table someone else was sitting. We found a table 15 min later when someone left. Service was ok for the amount of staff and how busy was it. Food was delicious but not enough menu options. It was only one short menu available and the waiter said that it was because of a festival?! Not sure if I will go back. I would prefer to be informed in advance about the limited food menu.
Weekly visit to this pub as good as ever. Very surprised that the prawn cocktail doesn't come with any bread.
Excellent roast lunch, excellent Wherry, pleasant surroundings a good way to spend Sunday lunch
We have eaten at this venue often, but this evening was very odd . Although, we were inside out drinks were served in plastic cups and our food served on paper plates and wooden knives and folks with no explanation given I would expect this from a catering van at Glastonbury but not a decent pub in Cambridge . Very disappointed with this change in direction we will not be eating here again !!!
Just lovely place to chill and have some really good food. Staff lovely .
