We stopped here for some afternoon drinks, the land lady was very welcoming and the service was excellent. The only downfall is that there isn’t much of a ‘green garden’ for the children to run around and play, but, they were made to feel very welcome. Reasonably priced drinks in a very English pub. What jackvA1476IE doesn't like about The Bell Inn:
I recently visited The Bell in Bottisham and was extremely disappointed with my experience. I was served a J20 instead of the wine I ordered, and my ploughman's lunch consisted of a crisp packet with only 2 crackers, a slice of processed cheese, and 3 spring onions. I couldn't believe it and even found the situation somewhat comical. To make matters worse, the toilet door hinge was broken and there was no hand dryer,... View all feedback.
This pub is popular among locals, with a very welcoming bar team. They offer a variety of beers and other beverages, all at a reasonable price.
We stopped by for a drink before heading to the curry restaurant next door. The landlady was fantastic and very welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a drink, especially since it's near the Newmarket race course - a great spot before heading to the races.
2nd time visiting this pub, when meeting with a friend who lives in the village before nipping next door for a curry Nice traditional village pub with open fireplace and brass mountings. Lots of spaced out tables n chairs for those intimate chats for couples and groups, or if you want to play a quiet game of cards. Landlord and Lady, nice people and good to converse with, Quiz nights, bingo nights etc I shall be visiting again soon, for a lovely pint of Ale, I have not eaten here so i cannot comment on the food or give a true rating for this I expect i shall eat here one day.

I strongly advise against recommending this establishment to anyone, as it did not meet even the basic standards of a pub. I left feeling furious.
Very good price for what we got the customer service was brilliant and the honey comb cheese cake was to die for
