The food quality and creativity has only been met at other two Michelin star restaurants globally. Genuinely a lovely experience. We came here for my birthday and the team were so welcoming and hospitable! We will return. I normally do... read more This restaurant made me like British food! I've been there with friends a few years back and it was eerily. I still remember this smoked celeriac. I normally don't like it by itself but they made it in such a way that I still want to have some more. On top of this, the pre dessert was so good we asked for a second one each. I had high expectations of Midsummer House and they were exceeded. Yes, the food was incredible. But the customer service was another level. Crucially, the staff were warm and friendly — not at all pretentious. I'm happy to admit I don't know a lot about wine. They were helpful and guided us to a great choice. Yes it is pric... read more A group of 12 dined in the private room. The food was exquisite, the service excellent and being in the room rounded off an excellent experience. Yes it is pricy but when you consider the effort that goes into making each individual course it really isn't unreasonable. Our vegetarians and individual preferences were well catered for.
