Nice place. But be aware they add service charge onto cocktails without telling you. Advertised nowhere on menu. Don’t mind paying a tip but automatically adding without telling you (and no receipt given) is not fair. Raised it with waitress and she said she’d inform manager. If you’re gonna hike prices for additional service then at least be up front with your customers

Our server, a... read more I recently discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant. The food is delicious, the cocktail selection is impressive, and the service is fantastic. Our server, a nice waitress with short brown hair, was very helpful in explaining the wide variety of unique spirits they offer. I would definitely recommend this place.

The cocktails were fantastic (proper quality ingredients) and the atmosphere was brilliant. Our trip to 196 really got our weekend in Cambridge off to a great start. Highly recommended
