I had a delicious duck cold meat with mango sauce and bream with mixed vegetables, also delicious. my man had zucchini cakes, the paramount, and 3 lemons huh. it was a very pleasant evening meal. good food and friendly service. excellent value for money: with 1 local beer and 1 espresso the check was at €66.50

My husband and children ordered me... read more This restaurant ruined the last night of our holiday. It looked quaint from the outside and we thought the food must be good. My husband and children ordered meatballs (limited choice as they had run out of skewers). When the food arrived, the chef had...oddly piled it up onto one dish in the centre of the table. This might have been okay if it tasted good but it was virtually inedibile. Two meatballs each. My daughter said they were identical to those served at the canteen at school. Tasteless pasta with no salt and a strange sugary tomato sauce.Salad on top of the meatballs!!! The kids pressed on... they were starving. My husband ate the bread (he's Italian). With the dawning realisation that we had just paid 60 euro for this one plate of tasteless yuck we hesitated over whether or not to tell the waitress. In the end we gave in and mentioned to her (very kindly) that it was terribly overpriced for what it was. We expected her to apologise maybe bring the manager offer a free drink take some money off the bill. But no. Nothing. She presented us with a full price bill for 109 euro! My face was like thunder. At which point the second waitress came up and started very aggressively demanding what my problem was, that this was her sister's restaurant and they had never had any complaints before (which is untrue having looked at some other reviews). We found ourselves in a full blown argument in the middle of a restaurant in front of our kids. It was just awful.
