The food was outstanding—I was nearly finished with my meal before I remembered to take any pictures… oops! This place is truly a hidden gem in the region. The portion sizes are generous, sure to satisfy your inner foodie! There’s a wide selection of desserts, and the service was impressively quick despite the made-to-order meals. The establishment has also done a fantastic job of restoring a historic building. Hats off to the owner and staff—this is exactly what the heart of Texas should feel like.

OMG!From the second you walk in you... read more Yikes!!!In the middle of nowhere Calvert TX.... Ana amazing lady and HS counselor recommended I stop by here and have lunch. OMG!From the second you walk in you know its going to be good. It smells amazing, very clean restaurant, clean restrooms.... They have a fat boys dream of a display case with all the goodies you can imagine: turtle cheesecake, cake balls, other pies... UUUHHHMAYZING!!I ordered the dont go BACON my heart burger..The bbq sauze was not over powering, the blue cheese (not a big fan added the perfect kick. I think i could have done without the extra crisp side of the burger, but it didnt take away from its awesomeness. The buns where great. French fries... they were good. Not like these super amazing gotta have more, but, they were good enough to wanna finish them up. Ill try the pie at home. :
