Paste Rind In Wash - Calumet-Norvelt

Truly one of the best places on H St NE. Paste Rind is a hidden gem. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, unique and tasty cheeses, and exceptional wines.

My bff and I visited this place on Saturday and we loved it. It 's a small cheese shop with quaint seating areas. The owner, Kara, was very friendly and made us feel welcome in the shop. (My friend was extra elated to meet another Kara spelled with a 'K ' just like her daughter) We ordered the three cheese sampler and my favorite was this Alpine style cheese. We also had a couple glasses of the rose. All of it was delicious and we will definitely be coming back. I would say the place is a perfect spot for a first or second date. It 's also a great spot to have an intimate conversation. The only issue I have is that it is not exactly metro accessible as it 's a 20 minute walk from either union station or NOMA station. But it is worth the visit. So please stop by and support a small business if you are in the area.

Had an incredible night here. Local shop, owners are PASSIONATE about wine and cheese. I learned so much, and they were very helpful with pairings.
