Our favorite “basic” neighborhood Greek restaurant, even though it’s not in our neighborhood. Lots of street parking within walking distance. We split excellent homemade spanakopita and fried zucchini for appetizers. We shared the shrimp in tomato sauce and feta app and trout stuffed with spinach and feta as our mains. We shared a large piece of delicious homemade baklava for dessert. Wine prices are very reasonable.... View all feedback.
What Natalie Chwalisz doesn't like about Parthenon Chevy Chase Lounge:
They served us moldy pita with the tzatziki. We pointed it out and the waiter argued with us! He said that this was just spots from the plate. Blue, fuzzy spots? And wait, how are dirty plates any better than mold? He insisted on bringing us more pita when really we didn't want more. We wanted an apology and explanation.I would avoid this place!Otherwise the atmosphere is fine. It draws an older crowd. View all feedback.
I was in town for business and went here with friends. The meal was fantastic, and the service was wonderful.
The Parthenon (and attached Chevy Chase Lounge) never disappoint. The food is consistently excellent, with generous portions and a great variety to choose from. They recently expanded their beverage options to include local breweries on tap. Staff is friendly at this family-run restaurant. Love it.
Food was delicious, service great, and it was Washington DC!
They support running people over. do not go there if you like to live
Basic taste and expensive, plus hard to get to. I'd go to another place before coming here again sadly.
