I went to this restaurant with a couple of friends, it was just amazing. We ordered a couple of appetizers that were delicious, and then I had the fish special ;SO GOOD ;. I’ll recommend this restaurant to everyone. View all feedback.
What Bevan Harms doesn't like about Paper Moon:
Cutting to the chase ... almost 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our meals. Our server admitted that the kitchen had lost our ticket ... ;Well, ya know, sometimes things get lost. ; Here are a few favorite quotes from speaking to the General Manager about our experience: ;Your server, she did not tell you it was slow? ; ;You should have come earlier, we 're very busy. ; ;I don 't know what you want me to do, I just work... The only thing I could say is that this place was wonderful. My wife and I were very pleased with everything. I will be celebrating my 2nd year anniversary on 7/7/2009. I could not think of any place else to go but here.
Had dinner here in mid-September and it was simply fantastic. Unlike most DC restaurants this one was large, with plenty of room between tables. The menu was extensive featuring a good mix of northern and southern Italian fare, but the specials were the real treat. I had a wonderful prosciutto salad and seafood stuffed ravioli, both were simply incredible. We skipped deserts, but they had standard Italian fare including cannoli stuffed with ricotta cheese and chocolate chips, tiramisu and various Italian desserts. Overall I'd highly recommend this restaurant, the food was superb, and the location is ideal, very close to CO canal and M street.
A friend and I hosted an event for charity at Paper Moon. About 90% of my guests are sick 5 days later with E.Coli. One of my guests saw a rat running around During The Event. I would never recommend having an event there. This place has a record with the District of Columbia Department of Health. There are so many better places in the Washington DC area. In addition, I wish I could say at least the service was good, but frankly it just wasn't. The atmosphere was nice enough, but of course, that is if you don't mind a rat or two. The worst experience I have ever had!
I have been to this restaurant twice and both times it was exceptional. The food was fabulous and the wait staff was friendly and very helpful. It is in a great location, right across the street from the parking garage and on a side street kind of out of all the Georgetown congestion. I think it is a hidden treasure, but well worth it. My friends are taking me there again for my birthday I can't wait!
The best recommendation for cozy and homey dining. No one can ever convince me that this place has horrible anything! I have had over 5 years of experiences with dining here and have enjoyed everything about my visits. Do try the Green Eggs and Hen. It’s great.
