Lovely place with slightly above average food, depending on what you choose, the best are the garlic fries but the Havana sandwiches aren’t great. I recommend coming early because they can be slow. View all feedback.
What CindyR doesn't like about Immigrant Food At The White House:
There was only one choice for a vegetarian main meal. The Restaurant Week option was limited to a meal for two and the whole table had to eat from the Restaurant Week menu so if there was an odd number of diners, no one could participate in Restaurant Week. Appetizer and dessert were to be shared between two people, but there were 5 ribs and 3 dessert cookies. Why not make an even number? The menu should list another... View all feedback.
Outstanding Havana Sandwich (loved the pineapple pickles)! Staff is as friendly as they are attentive (exceptional). Outstanding ambiance, and really support the motivation behind the restaurant. Will certainly be back!
This is a really neat little spot in DC that is pretty close to the White House! We went for lunch and got seated right away. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. We really loved the gear the staff wore, it's a great reminder that our nation is made better from the diversity we get. Their menu highlights foods from different parts of the world as well.

All of these limitations should be detailed on the RW en site.
The place is amazing. The decoration is gorgeous. The service is beyond impressive. Probably the best service I’ve had in DC area. The drinks are outstanding. My only small complain is that some dishes are quite small. My advice is to order a large dish if you’re very hungry or multiple small ones.

The food boasts a harmonious blend of different cultures, presented with freshness and satisfactory portion sizes. The attentive service ensures a seamless dining experience, although friendliness is merely satisfactory. The cozy ambience caters to various preferences, allowing diners to choose between indoor, outdoor, or upper-story seating. Cleanliness is well-maintained throughout the establishment. Priced reasonably , the restaurant provides good value for the quality of food and overall experience. The extensive menu offers options from almost all continents, including ample choices for vegetarians. Beverage selection and wait time for seating and food are impressive. While parking availability might rely on street luck, Immigrant Food compensates with its inviting atmosphere and culinary variety, though limited facilities for families or children are noted.
