We decide... read more We were driving randomly through the countryside when we felt for some lunch. We drove into the centre of Delia but found no restaurant that was open. We decided to ask some locals if there was any open restaurants nearby and this generous gentleman sad it was a short drive away and offered to take us in his car. Lucchese is located in the outskirts of Delia on a little hill . It is not your typical countryside inn, but a modern al fresco restaurant with a quirky menu and style. We got there a little before the normal Italian decide to have Sunday Lunch but that was no problem at all. They opened up the kitchen, picked great wines and suggested absolutely fantastic food. My partner had a great clam past and I had the best Ravioli I have ever tasted and in Sicily that takes a lot ; Desert was to kill for, and it all came to no more than €40 for two and a baby with great wine, water and service charge. Service and atmosphere was impeccable. Highly recommended if you find yourself in this part of Italy/Sicily.

Chef Lucchese provided an authentic, fresh, flavorful meal comprised of antipasti/capponata and pasta vegetariana that was superb! The service was excellent, and the chef made our food with our preferences in mind. This is a restaurant that cares about the food and the people. I give it my highest rating and encourage all local people and travelers to visit this jewel of Delia! Grazie mille.
