The food was good, and the service was excellent a very humorous guy served us and was quite attentive obviously has experience with non Italian speakers, and why not this bar is located in a strategic spot for staircase climbers. I had pumpkin pasta with cream sauce plus a nicely warmed caponata, and fresh squeezed pomegranate juice.

So friendly, great Aperols, right at the base of the steps, it was very hot and the bar drew a lovely breeze. As an added bonus the local police, their office was opposite, came over to chat, highly recommended.

Service was friendly and helpful and we stopped several times for aperitivi.

This place has excellent gelato and is in a prime location right at the base of the 142 steps of Santa Maria del Monte. It has outdoor seating and a free restroom. Highly recommend!
