The staff is not attentive at all and we had to wait long time until approached even though it was only a few other guests. When the food arrived it was a major disappointment. We wondered if it was children who had prepared it. Tasteless and far from the (poor) presentation in the menu. We will never go there again.

The... read more We have visited Las Barcas many time and in different seasons and was always happy with the staff, the service and the location. Now something has happened. The friendly and informal waiters have gone, the menu have been reduced and prices upped to the same level as all the other 5-6 restaurants nearby who use extremely annoying catchers to get people in. Soon the harbour area will be one place to avoid just because of it. Maybe economy is at play here, but it 's not the kind of Calpe anyone would like to be greeted with.
