What Lavinia Becker doesn't like about Drift Bar:
Used to love coming to this bar for their special menu nights!Tonight our over priced burger did not deliver. When cut in half, there was no buttermilk slaw, or any rocket or tomato, just soggy flavourless onions, probably frozen. The chilli jam did not exist anywhere on the burger. When asked I was given a bowl of chilli sauce, not even the chilli jam accompaniment as listed on the menu. The Korean chicken was wonder... View all feedback.
Crazy noisy in the bar with loud music, talking and the lorrikeets outside. But the bar is located in a beautiful spot. The food was beautiful.. the best altlantic salmon I've ever tasted. Pricey, but very nice.

Cocktails were nice. Position excellent. Live music was ok and Sweet Potato Wedges were delicious. However the bar staff were a little off putting! One girl in particular was OTT! Front of house man was very helpful and accommodating though.
Got a nice table for two, just to the ocean side of the walk through and ordered our meal. Five minutes later, two gents sat down at the table about a metre away, both accompanied by dogs that thought it was their duty to sniff...almost everyone that walked past. This is really poor (in my opinion). If dogs are to be allowed at restaurants, then surely they should be situated well away from other diners. They may be extremely clean well looked after animals but we, as strangers, do not know this. From this point onwards, we could not wait to get our meal, eat it and leave. And, the meal very average at best certainly not one that would make me want to return And, before the haters have their say... i love animals I just do not think they should be allowed in public eating places it is extremely unhealthy.
We had heard wonderful things about this venue and were eager to try it for ourselves. We certainly were not dissapointed!! The wait staff could not do enough for us, bar staff were even willing to make a drink not listed on the cocktail menu....Our meals came out very quickly, well presented and also delicious. There was live music which was really great and added to the wonderful ambience.. couldn't fault this venue. Highly recommend
