Visited on a Monday evening and it was very quiet. Food was lovely and service was good. Very good value for money for local cuisine including fresh fish.

We tried this restaurant as it was on the main road just out of town and what a find! The service was friendly, although no-one spoke English which in a way is good, as it makes it very authentic! There were a lot of locals eating there which is always a good sign. It was lovely sitting outside. The food was quite basic, not haute cuisine but that's not why we were there. It was very tasty and incredibly good value. Would definitely recommend.

We tried coming here a few days ago due to the mainly good reviews. We found out tonight that the chef owner had hurt his back and couldn't make it. He asked if we were the people that were turned away and apologised. That gave a big hint at what was to come. Starters; 2 goats cheese salads, chicken croquettes, and grilled vegetables and anchovies (escalibada) 10:10! Above enjoyed with a Brut Nature cava. Mains; rabbit with alioli, wild boar stew with pears, 2 entrecots 10:10. Enjoyed with a nice Monsant wine. Dessert for one only as we were a bit full, but the Crema Catalana was tried by all. Then 4 coffees and a large Spanish portions of brandy and anis del mono. All for £25 a head. Including tip. Now the wine ... I mentioned in passing to the waiter that I thoroughly enjoyed the wine and asked where I could buy some to take home. We had left the restaurant for about two minutes when the owner chef ran up to us and said he'd been told by the waiter about the wine and if i came back on Sunday before service i could buy 12 bottles at cost (50% off menu price). The food and the wine was top notch. Local simple food cooked wonderfully. All great stuff but for me the comment and apology about our first attempt to eat there along with the offer of wine would make me want to offer a sixth star. Fabulous!
