Was valerieeight at Saigon a mag?
Four of us enjoyed a meal Saigon on a quiet Tuesday night Our host was friendly and funny I would say the food is more Chinese style than Vietnamese (at least compared to what we get in Australia) but the flavours are great, the servings are generous and its good value. I would recommend a visit to those who miss Asian food while away View all feedback.

We arrived at 8:45. It (very unusually) was a terrible evening in Montauroux. The restaurant was almost full and the host very obligingly moved a couple of tables to get our group of 5 in. Everything thereafter was very slow. Our main courses arrived at 10:45, 2 hours later despite a couple of ‘ food will be with you in 2 mins’ over a 30 min period. The food was average. The rice for our main courses came almost 10 mins before the hot dishes. My wife really liked her cashew nut chicken but all 4 others said their chicken was rubbery and meal average to me the chicken was reheated. To be fair to the host, he was very nice and apologised a couple of times. But to arrive at 8:45 and leave at 11:30 for an average meal really didn’t do it for us. A complimentary coffee or drink would have been a gesture to acknowledge the unacceptable delay. So maybe it was just a bad night and unusually busy given the bad weather although we won’t try it again.

Great Team, an open kitchen for those who might feel curious (or worried after visiting other Asian places), and excellent food.

A hidden gem, behind the Eric driving school in the same car park as Lidle. All the locals come here, both for inexpensive weekday lunches, for big birthdays and romantic nights out. Run by a lovely Vietnamese family. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good
