The interior is really nice and you can tell that locals meet there, and I appreciate their efforts to be a place for the community, however: Two of us had the curry, one had the dhal, because we were looking for vegan options. The dhal needed a lot more salt, the curry was very sour and actually reminded me of vomit. Unfortunately, the texture was quite similar as well. Quite overcooked and not a trace of curry taste. I could see they had used turmeric, but that was as close as they got. I had had a very nice curry the day before with crunchy vegetables, so this was quite a disappointment. Wouldn't recommend it for lunch after this. Coffee is probably nice enough. The service was good, lovely girls from England and France (my guess).

Well worth a visit it is a true hidden gem in the village of Callan.
