Starbucks - Calhoun
Starbucks
Description
A popular roadside Starbucks shines with friendly, energetic staff, excellent drinks and a breakfast-friendly menu—Frappuccinos often recommended—making it a favorite for travelers and regulars. Service is inconsistent: mobile and in-store orders can face long waits, the drive-thru is sometimes faster, hours/openings are unpredictable, and items like cold brew occasionally run out. Expect great flavors but bring patience during busy or erratic service periods.

If you're on your way to Chattanooga or leaving Atlanta heading north on I-75, this Starbucks is conveniently located just far enough away from the notorious traffic jam that is I-75 north of 285, making it an ideal spot for a bathroom break or caffeine fix. It's only about a mile off the interstate (on your left when heading north), so it's a perfect stop during your road trip. Despite its remote location in Georgia, the drive-thru line is always busy. To avoid the chaos, I recommend ordering ahead through the mobile app and picking up in-store. Aside from its convenient location, this Starbucks is pretty standard, which is just fine by me.
The café's service time is noticeably slower than that of the drive-thru. Be prepared for customers who place their orders 5 to 10 minutes after you to receive their drinks before you do. I've experienced waiting over 20 minutes on several occasions for both mobile and in-café orders. Additionally, the staff is somewhat unfriendly and tends to respond with attitude if you ask them a question.
This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. If you're not going to serve fresh coffee to customers, perhaps you should reconsider your branding. I recently moved to the area and have visited this store seven times. Out of those visits, I ended up with cold, burnt coffee five times, even after specifically requesting fresh coffee from the barista. Clearly, they’re unable to provide a proper cup of coffee, and it makes me wonder if the training is lacking. Don't worry, I won't be returning.
This is the worst Starbucks in America. My daughter has gone here 3 weeks in a row and every time they say they're out of cold brew. What's there to be out of, just brew it, your only job is to make coffee and they can't even do that. This location SUCKS!!
What a disappointing experience. The matcha i ordered was too light, and only tasted like milk even though I asked for an extra scoop of matcha in it. The cold foam tasted horrible, and wasn't even creamy and sweet like it should be. The double chocolate chip Frappuccino had no drizzle or whip on the bottom and it needs to have it because that's what the customer pays for. Disappointing, i hope everyone here starts following the recipe and the standards so that the drinks are actually tasty and good quality.
