From the outside there is nothing to write about but the inside is comfortable and relaxing. But the food was very good. They have a short but reasonable wine list, but the beer list is very nice with some very nice European beers. For the dark beer people have the Weltenburger, very good and very tasty. What User doesn't like about Wiener Schnitzel Haus:
Went with a group of 5 and when they brought the main courses they forgot one eventhough they remembered their fries.I found it just a large slab of meat. I think they should slightly reduce the portion size and add spätzle and a vegetable.To finish it off we were charged $9 for a side of spätzle. View all feedback.
My wife and I have driven past this little gem many times, and so decided to try it out. Wow, are we happy we did!My wife had the soup, Jager schnitzel, and apple strudel. I had the bratwurst and pretzel, then the Alpen schnitzel. All dishes were the best. I was so full, I had to take some of my schnitzel home--there was no way I was going to leave that amazing dish behind. Even the coffee was excellent.We heartily recommend this restaurant. Just be aware of their limited hours and their prices, though it's completely worth it.
Food was not bad, but way way overpriced!!! If it would have been homemade sausages for appetizer but it’s just the Walmart Bratwurst or the tiny portion of Käsespätzle!! Schnitzel was pork not veal. No reason for the price of $58 per person for a 2 course meal.As a German trying the food in Calgary very disappointed
A friend treated me too dinner here. Came back two nights later with eight of us for a Birthday dinner. Yes the food was that good...in fact, I cant recall a restaurant in Calgary with this uniqueness!There was genuine care for customer needs. The staff keep it real. Their humor, and pride... shines in this atmosphere. Its all combined together.. Very delighted with this nugget in the rough!
As a vegetarian, I was blown away by the dishes I had, in a place that is generally known for the schnitzel! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! I will definitely eat here again.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Wiener Schnitzel Haus. The food was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed the thoughtful and very personalized service. Everything about this restaurant was a five star experience! Our birthday dinner could not have occured at a better place. Thank-you for such a lovely evening.
