The quality and variety of course... read more A busy Saturday night took our family to Whitehall for Pre-Father's Day dinner. We decided on tasting menu with wine pairings. The quality and variety of courses was exceptional: unique tastes and textures, nice wine pairings. With prior notice about a gluten free diner, the waiter and chef were non-plussed. Only minimal modifications needed on the tasting menu. And holy **** - a stilton cheese gluten free biscuit to start! (GF bread also provided.) Staff was friendly and mostly attentive. The only negatives - about 1 hour between 2 of our courses. Good conversation filled the void but empty wine glasses before the paired course arrived detracted a bit from the pairing experience. Also - needed prompting (and reminding) about name description of the wine being served. Again - usually part of the experience for a tasting menu with pairing. (I know - first world problems, right.?) Overall very good evening.
