After a fun evening with friends, we decided to stop by this restaurant for some pub food. The atmosphere and decor were very nice, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was comparable to other good pubs I have been to. They had a good variety of shareables, sandwiches, and burgers. The building and interior design made it easy to have a conversation, even though it was crowded during the Flames game. We... What User doesn't like about Toad N Turtle:
Pizza so-so, fish tacos we're good.Rather too loud to talk to companions on first floor. They have an outdoor space, so that might be better in nice weather. Disappointed that they feel they need to have waitresses wear short skirts in this day and age. View all feedback.
This restaurant has a cozy pub-like atmosphere. Our food was great and the service was friendly and efficient.

I have been to this pub twice in the last few months...once for lunch and just two nights ago for dinner. The place is a bit worn (one seat I sat is was split open and the foam was pushing out,) but it seems reasonably clean and they have a full menu. Both meals I had were really good. The lunch crowd was a business crowd but the dinner crown the other night were a bit rough around the edges...but not an issue.
This is a big place with a choice of upstairs on the rooftop patio or downstairs in the pub area. This day it was ptretty much deserted. I'll assumed the long weekend had many people out of town. Service on the roof was poor. The server was nice enough, just a little inexperienced possibly. Food is average. Drinks, like any bar, great. White sangria is served in a plastic sand pail, cute. I had the Thai chicken wrap $16 which had good flavours. Not too much chicken in it, but it tasted ok. My friend had chicken fingers and fries $15. She wanted the optional sweet potato fries on the menu but was told no, they don't serve those on the patio. What? How about go downstairs and get an order of them and bring them back upstairs? It's all frozen and deep fried o I don't get that at all.
Don't sit on the patio if you want the full menu. Very unimpressed with not getting to order off the full menu. They wont bring food from their kitchen downstairs. Food was bland and flavourless. The service was atrocious. Should say what service. This is a place that is definitely crossed off our list for dining in Calgary.
