Outstanding as always. It is nice to stop in and not guess about the food quality. It is always very good and very consistent. I appreciate the allergen labels...it goes a long way.
The food was delicious and there were lots of gluten free options for my friend. The server could have been a little more attentive, but overall everything was very good. We had a lovely visit over our choices from the Sunday buffet.
We have eaten here on a number of occasions and the food has always been very good with decent portions. We typically eat here before going to the Theatre and the quick service is appreciated.
We ate at Thomsons for the first time last night and had a truly memorable experience. It was one of the most enjoyable restaurant visits we've had in quite some time. The food was excellent. I ordered the steak sandwich, and my husband had the rack of lamb—both dishes were cooked to perfection. Our two toddlers had the fish and chips, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The fries and fish were crisp and flavorful without being greasy. The service stood out as exceptional. The two gentlemen who served us were attentive and genuinely kind, especially toward our children. They took the time to learn their names and made them feel welcome and special throughout the evening. We appreciated the thoughtful kids menu alongside a well-rounded regular menu. We’ll definitely be returning. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner
Utterly gobsmacked that the Sunday buffet doesn’t have better reviews and that it wasn’t more packed when we went. Live music? Check. Crackling fireplace and cozy wood furniture with well spaced tables. Check. Food prepared right in front of you? Check. We made reservations on Open Table and were welcomed with offers of coffee, juice and Benedict’s. Where else can you say “I’ll have TWO please” and be presented with personal frying pans of custom-prepared bennies with luscious hollandaise? The prime rib was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. There is an abundance of choices. Shrimp, salmon, crispy potatoes and all manner of savoury and sweet delights. I had beautiful vanilla french toast with sculpted butter, berry compote and whipped cream. Delicious! The server’s were attentive in keeping coffee refilled and asking if we wanted water or juice replenished. We parked under the hotel and the server let us know the $28) parking was validated. For some reason I had looked at an old price list and was expecting to pay 30 dollars a head. It actually came to $55 a person. If you are going in with a good appetite this is reasonable. There is a huge variety of beautiful quality foods and drinks are included. Our visiting guest from another city thought the ambiance was lovely. Nice to see that buffets have arisen from the ashes of COVID. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $50–60 Parking space: Plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessible
