The Potion Room - Calgary

I had a wonderful time catching up with my friends at this bar. We really loved the theme and found the staff to be very friendly. They even allowed us to be seated a bit earlier than our reservation. The only issue we encountered was that, since we used bird scooters, our phone batteries were running low. While this was our oversight, it made it challenging to order drinks without a menu. The waitstaff tried to print one out for us, but it didn’t come out clearly. Thankfully, I had visited before, so I had some idea of what we might enjoy, and the waiter offered us excellent drink recommendations. I would definitely recommend this place—just be sure to keep your phone charged!

The decor was stunning, but playing Akon and Lady Gaga completely ruined the atmosphere for me. If you’re going to create a specific vibe, you really need to align the music with the incredible ambiance of the space.

The drink prices were outrageous, and the beverages themselves were unpalatable. The only redeeming quality of this place is the decor. I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was delicious! drinks were cool, but very strong. it took about 20 minutes before we were initially helped, but others then this service was friendly and fast. overall very cool and fun place!

Wonderful servers who made our party feel special. It was cute and decor was unreal. They were accommodating when I needed to adjust my reservation last minute. Highly recommend!
