Our waitress, Carly, was so nice and she kept our cups full of wonderful coffee. Our food was beyond expectations. We met one of the very personable owners and had a nice conversation. All in all a great experience View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Bro'Kin Yolk:
The place is squeezed with lots of tables close to each other. The place is loud and noisy. The sign reads "BREAKFAST LUNCH COFFEE". The coffee is overpriced for the small to stay cup. The latte and was not hot and the texture of the latte was missing, for $4.50 you would expect a perfect blend. Thats the whole point of having a latte is to get it right. The food yes was tasty but was cold or lukewarm. And again was t... View all feedback.
My place to brunch. It is always really solid, amazing food. Simple, but delicious. Please, that potatoes are not fried in duck fat. Service is always great and they move fast.
Yaaa... Tofu is pretty much everything we get. But this is my fav in town. They also calculate a reasonable price... not the typical $20 tofu scramble we used to see. Also service is top notch!!!
I recommend a call and ask them to be placed on the waiting list. On a Sunday at 11:30, they gave us an estimated 2hr 15 min waiting time, but about an hour later written that our table was almost ready. The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful. The kitchen is open and you can see the preparation of all meals, so I would not recommend to sit at the bar when you are vegan (observing meat eggs). The whole place smells like bacon, just a warning. The service is very friendly and prompt. The vegan hash was decent. It came with guacamole and salsa and was salted. Apart from that it doesn't seem to have a lot of season what I would have preferred. I asked our server if other articles could be prepared vegan and he said they could do it. I can or may not visit again, I think there are other better options for vegan brunch in the city, but unfortunately not many other options nearby!
Went to the new Signal Hill location and it was pretty good. Called ahead and was put on the wait list and got a table at the promised time. The food was good and the service was excellent. The only drawback to the new location was the size of the table for 2 people. It was very small. I’m a larger individual and I pretty much JUST fit. Overall, not a bad first visit and I would come back again to try some more of their dishes.
This breakfast was ah-mazing!! You must try the truffle mushroom breakfast poutine! It was to die for. Very good quality eggs, extremely friendly fast service. Killer job!
