The Berwick Public House - Calgary

I visited the restaurant for the first time today with a friend I hadn't seen in years. We spent a few hours there and felt no rush to hurry through our meals or settle the bill. The waitress gave us excellent suggestions for dishes to share. I will definitely be returning!

The server was nice, but that was the only positive aspect of the experience. I ordered fish tacos, which were extremely dry and barely had any coleslaw. My friend had a steak salad that lacked dressing, contained some spoiled greens, and the portion of steak was small and tough. I might consider going there for drinks, but that's about it.

I experienced painfully slow service at a pub that wasn't even half full. When our food finally arrived, it was at room temperature. Despite the empty tables around us that had dirty plates and old drinks, we waited for two hours. When the bill came, it was over $20 per person, even without alcohol. With so many great pubs nearby, my expectations were much higher. I definitely won’t be returning.

One of the best community pubs in Calgary! Zack, along with his bartenders and waitstaff, are fantastic with everyone. I visited this week, and it was a great experience!
