Some Thai restaurants just try too hard to get it right. Pad Thai should be a nice simple dish with a distinct flavour. No disappointments here! Their coconut rice was fluffy and tasty, and very fresh. And their Nua Pad Tua was also fantastic.Service was friendly, albeit a touch slow - a bit understaffed for a busy lunch. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Thai Sa-On Restaurant:
We went here on a Thursday evening with no reservation. It was relatively full but still had a few tables empty. We only ordered mains of chicken red and green curries with steamed rice. The food was tasty and authentic BUT the food came 40mins after we ordered. Table next to us left after their starters as they had been there 50mins. Another couple didn't even order and left after 20mins.The male waiter seemed to get... View all feedback.
The food was excellent, although the service could have been quicker. The peanut sauce was especially amazing!
One of my favorite hidden treasures, this place may not look like much from the outside but once you step inside, it feels like you've escaped the city.
If you enjoy delicious authentic Thai cuisine, then this is the perfect restaurant for you. The service is excellent, the food is outstanding, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous.
We used to go to this place a lot 3-4 per month for the past 20 years, but stopped about 4 years ago when we didn't see the owner's wife along with the poor service and not so good food we had . Anyway We felt like Thai again yesterday and once again we were really disappointed. This is Not authentic Thai food, not that tasty neither and the service will only be good if you open a bottle of wine from them. Beer doesn't count in their eyes. If you don't open a bottle of wine you will not get any service at all. What they have become is a wannabe upscale restaurant with a wide wine list and cheap decor and charge outrageous prices now. That's NOT Thai food and yes I have been to Thailand more than a few times and ate on the street and in restaurant. Here is how I would describe it. They are trying to package Russian borscht as an upscale item. If I want a good wine list, I go to a French restaurant. Thai food I will always order Chang beer
We recently visited this restaurant. Food was delicious with the exception of one dish
