Contribute FeedbackThe reviews for Swiss Chalet restaurant paint a mixed picture of the dining experience. Some customers praised the tasty food, fast service, and good value for money. However, there were complaints about poor customer service, long wait times, and missing items in takeout orders. Some diners were disappointed with the portion sizes of certain dishes and the lack of attention from servers. Despite these mixed reviews, many customers enjoyed the homecooked chicken and variety of menu options offered at Swiss Chalet.
The good was good, though my sister-in-law and niece ordered chicken caesar salad that were so small it was pitiful. There was a good portion of chicken but the greens were the size of a side salad. The other dinners were good portions, hot and fresh. Our server could not hide her annoyance at having a large table of 10 but honestly were not loud nor demanding. We placed our orders, ate, waited forever to get the bill and again to pay for it, and left. I was disappointed at her attitude but will probably never go there as we were from out of town visiting with family.
Yikes! This used to be our go-to place but not anymore. Service is horrendous. Wait times are ridiculous considering the chicken is rotisserie so we know it’s already ready and fries/salad take only minutes to make. New management? New owners? Where have the standards gone?
Two of us went to Swiss Chalet on Sunday, October 7, 2018. We’ve been here numerous times before so were quite surprised at the chaos that greeted us. We were neglected at the front door for nearly 10 minutes. The couple in front of us were quite irate by the time someone actually came to seat them. This was an obvious indication of the experience that was about to unfold. It seemed to take forever just to catch our servers attention. I could see they were clearly understaffed. When our server did arrive she seemed very frazzled. I ordered a glass of wine and the Thanksgiving special. Immediately she told me they were under new management and had no liquor license. I suggested they might want to put a sign on the door to that effect. She informed me they had a sign but someone took it down. That was a rather poor excuse. Our meal actually came quite quickly and was quite delicious! They had run out of pumpkin pie which was supposed to be included in the special so we were offered a selection of any other type of pie. My friend actually ordered the supreme Sundae. It looked lovely in the photo. Well, when it came it was literally ice cream thrown in a dish with a little bit of caramel sauce and a cherry. None of the beautiful layering the picture had showed and no whip cream. They also ran out of Lindt chocolates which are supposed to be included. We were waiting for the bill and noticed the table beside us was getting stacked higher and higher and higher with dirty dishes. I don’t even have that happen at my house! When we’re eating dirty dishes are taken off the table and out of sight. I do hope the new management gets their act together as far as customer service is concerned.
We live 15 minutes a away from the restaurant. We placed a take out ASAP order on the APP. It showed as 0n it 's way for 1.5 hours. After two phone calls where we were told it would be there any minute . Don 't show on it 's way if it isn 't actually on it 's way! When it finally arrived, it was missing two pieces of pie and the chocolates that were part of the special. Really!
Ordered the beef and chicken combo. Only could order one side..came with no vegetables. The cole slaw was so small I could barely see it. The chicken must have came from a baby it was so small The beef was not good. Buns have shrunk in size. When iut came time to pay he wanted my phone to copy the scene card and disappeared....was not happy...he said his scanner was broken.
