What User doesn't like about Sushi Bistro Anzu:
This place gave me food poisoning. Rather than accept responsibility and apologize the manager was horrible about it and asked me if I had any proof from a doctor. I ate food ordered from there and was ill within 30 min, they were clearly at fault.Stay away from the avocado tempura, it tasted odd and I am willing to bet it's what made me ill. View all feedback. What User likes about Sushi Bistro Anzu:
We always go there for lunch. Overall, the dinner was good. Fish was fresh, deep fried items were crunchy and not greasy. Salad was fresh. Soup was unexpectedly salty, told the waitress, and they gave us free green tea ice-cream as compensation. Surprisingly good service. The sushi and sashimi boat was a good deal, either price or quality, highly recommended. View all feedback.

read moreIn a hidden gem of a restaurant in Calgary, Japanese-owned Sushi Bistro Anzu offers an authentic Japanese dining experience. Despite a recent mishap with the Tempura, patrons can expect fresh sushi and sashimi, along with a variety of Japanese dishes, all served with friendly and efficient service. The lunch combo offers great value, and the $14 special includes a generous portion of Tempura, sushi, chicken, rice, and Miso soup. With consistently good food, a cozy atmosphere, and reasonable prices, Sushi Bistro Anzu is a must-visit for anyone craving traditional Japanese cuisine in Calgary.
