My husband works downtown and loves this place. He suggested I come. I absolutely loved the mocha, BLT and cookies. Amazing place for lunch...parties better than we've had in Europe. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sucre Patisserie & Cafe:
Just another average coffee bar of the many in uptown Calgary, nothing really stands out here except the chiffon cake which thankfully has less fat than the other calorie-laden treats. They do have a modest macaroon section, cheaper than the Mt. Royal village bakery, but still too sweet! A small cramped space with a very uncomfortable bathroom, you'll find yourself wedged into a corner between the sink and toilet....... View all feedback.
The BLTs are delicious. The cookies are great. The Korean flatbread was nice as well. The mocha was delicious.

Being French, I was pleasantly surprised to find this new bakery in yyc. I have tried 3 of their pastries, almond croissant, chocolate brioche and a cookie and I can assure you that it tastes like French pastries. And good ones! A real gem. It's a bit pricey of course, pastries are around $3-$4 and desserts sell for $5-$7 but if you like French food, you will like Sucre!
We needed a coffee and a something in the afternoon, and stopped by the new cafe at 10th Av and 8th St SW. Their coffee has a different roast to it, it comes from a specialty roaster in Vancouver. It was very good with a great flavour, but not a deep dark harsh roast that is very popular elsewhere. We settled on a strawberry flan, and it was excellent. The strawberries tasted like they were picked minutes before. The decor is bright and modern, and it is cozy - but that's what cafes are all about. The washroom I used was very tight, so no plus-sized people for that one. I'd say a good addition to the coffee scene in that area.
