What User doesn't like about Shanghai Palace Restaurant:
This restaurant is a decent place to dine with a variety of options and some tasty dishes. The total bill can accumulate fast, but considering the portion sizes, leftovers are a definite possibility. View all feedback.
Such a great meal! So much food and the price was very reasonable ! Enough for today's lunch ! Staff very nice!
The title pretty well sums it up, except also to say that the portions provided and the very reasonable cost per entree has got to make this one of the best restaurant buys in the city. Not only is the food tasty, but the menu is full of interesting items. We tried a mango stir-fried chicken dish, for example, and it had large amounts of chicken as well as mangos, snow peas, and peppers and onions. In addition, we tried one of our traditional Chinese favorites, Mushu Pork, which also was generous in size, filled with vegetables such as carrot in addition to the usual fare, and came with at least a dozen pancakes, each solid enough to sustain a large quantity of Mushu. Indeed there was so large a portion of each dish that we had to take home half of them. The cost for both of us: $30 for basically four meals. We had heard that Dim Sum would be available all day, but this proved not to be the case. Given our experience with the entrees, however, this visit did not disappoint. The large number of Chinese families who kept arriving, including some quite elderly members, showed that the restaurant is clearly popular with those who know this cuisine best.
This restaurant is great for takeout or eating in. The food is quite tasty, however I have noticed that it has gone down in quality and value lately.

My friends and I visited this restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year. There were ten of us and we ordered the dinner for ten. We had an abundance of food, so much so that each of us were able to take home a little leftover bag. Despite the busy atmosphere, we received excellent service. The food arrived piping hot, which was definitely a plus.
