Ruby's Nigerian Kitchen offers a mixed experience, ranging from outstanding to unsatisfactory. While some customers rave about the delicious food and pleasant ambiance, others highlight the disappointing customer service, long waiting times, and subpar dishes. The owner's attitude towards complaints is noted as unapologetic and disrespectful, tarnishing the overall dining experience. Despite the tasty authentic cuisine, the high prices and inconsistent service may deter potential diners. For those willing to overlook these issues, Ruby's can be an enjoyable culinary adventure, with a variety of traditional Nigerian dishes to savor.

Last night, my husband and I were finally able to use our Living Social deal that I purchased last year.

My wife and I attended a class on the evening of May 25 (Living Social coupon) and had a great time.

My husband purchased an Indian cooking class date for the two of us at Ruby's Kitchen and when we arrived I was appauled at the quality of the location for

We ordered the poundo yam okra, rice ofada, and pepper soup. However, upon arrival, we had to wait for about 10 minutes as there was no one at the register. When we finally got served, the ofada rice turned out to be red pepper stew instead of the expected green dish. The okra soup also did not meet our expectations, as it did not resemble traditional okra soup. When I raised my concerns to the staff, the owner seemed uninterested and unapologetic. Eventually, we managed to exchange the okra for egusi soup, which was slightly better. However, the owner's disrespectful behavior towards me in the kitchen left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience and the lack of value for the expensive Nigerian cuisine. I will not be returning to this restaurant and would caution others about ordering the okra dish.

A nice Nigerian restaurant in NE of Calgary. Food was good. Very good standard. Tasted fresh and homemade. We had Moimoi and assorted and another plate of beans and plantains. I found it slightly expensive though. Both plates cost $41. The beans and plantain jd no protein. Also, there was bit of queue. Like people were standing for like 8-10mins before being attended to and another 10/15mins before food is ready.Overall, I’ll come again, cause food was good. Maybe i’ll call to order ahead if that’s available.
