Plaka Greek Taverna - Calgary

My partner and I dined in Plaka tonight and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The owner, Ana, was wonderfully welcoming, and the food was some of the best Greek cuisine we’ve ever tasted—we've had quite a bit! We ordered the dinner plate for two, and it was incredible. The potatoes were served on the side, so they’re not visible in my photo. The portions were extremely generous, the food was phenomenal, and the prices were great. There’s plenty of free parking, a lovely atmosphere, and the owners are incredibly friendly. What more could anyone ask for?

This place is a true gem! I've always enjoyed the food here, but I had forgotten just how amazing the calamari salad is! The calamari is cooked to perfection, and everything is so fresh. It was a fun evening, and it's lovely for a hot summer night—or really any time!

I absolutely love this place! It's the best Greek restaurant I've been to in a long time. Ana is fantastic and does a wonderful job, creating a delightful and beautiful experience. I always order the two-person platter, and it never disappoints. I would highly recommend this small family-run business to anyone craving Mediterranean food.

Eating was plentiful and tasty. the atmosphere pleasant and our waitress was top notch.

Took the family out to have a celebratory dinner for two graduates. The atmosphere was definitely Greek, the food was wonderful and fresh. The house wine was fresh and crisp. The service was lovely and we never felt bothered. We had a perfect experience. I hope more people will take the time to visit and enjoy the food. Thank you to the lovely owner and her son Luca for a wonderful evening. We decimated the delicious dessert.
