I like their pork sisig but since it has gone up which is about $19 per serving i stopped getting it. too much for 1 dish. it hurts your pocket as well as your cholesterol level :(
My family went for dinner at this restaurant last month and we were not happy with one of the food that was served. We ordered Crispy Pata but the food was not crispy at all. It was limp and looked like it sat in the kitchen for a while. So we gave the restaurant another chance. Went there last Sunday, 9/11 and ordered the same stuff. Sisig was good. Pancit and crispy pata looked like they were pre-cooked and just got warmed. Wait time was less than 10 minutes and nobody can prepare the crispy pata or pancit in that short a time. Some skin on the pata were crispy and some were limp. Also the pata seemed to be less than what other people order. I don't think we will go back to this restaurant again.
Come for the food not for the service. If you have time to wait, and are craving Filipino food then I would recommend the food here. But don't expect even mediocre service here. We were seated within a minute of entering and expected great service. But we waited at least 15 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. At regular restaurants they at least take your drink order a few minutes after being seated. This was not the case. There were 5 servers there all to the side just standing and talking (sounded like chismis in Tagalog). Even though we kept glancing over at them, and even attempting to call them over a few times they just ignored us. When someone finally approached us he didn't even apologize for the wait and couldn't even put a smile on his face. Looking at the female servers they just elevator stare you up and down. I understand that they must not be actual trained servers as this place had recently been licensed as a full restaurant. But we were hungry so decided to stay instead of wasting even more time finding a better place to eat. I warn anyone who is already starving not choose to eat here as you will get even more HANGRY. When we finally did place our order, all of the food came within minutes. From that point on receiving our food, we were mostly ignored unless we walked to a server which one should not have to do. It was a large order but I must say they had no troubles getting our order correct. I will say that the food was served hot, tasted like authentic Filipino food, and was very delicious. The food was filling, although I felt that the portions for each order was too small as compared to the price per dish(overpriced). When we were done our meal, we all decided to order the halo-halo dessert which hearsay is special here. It looked delicious so we had to try it as well. We did have to wait at least another 20 minutes for it and took them to go as we didn't want to stay another minute. While waiting for the dessert we did witness 3 separate families be seated and leave as they were not attended to, just as we had experienced when we first arrived. I wish we had read the online reviews on this place before coming as the reviews described this place and the horrible service to a T! The halo-halo was delicious though. I can not complain about the food at all. But the service here is just terrible!
Let's begin by saying I'm a bit biased. I do not care for most filipino food and I am married to a filipina. With that said, I can usually find something on the table I'll eat as I did last night. They had some really good fried rice. The crispy pata was not at all crispy and the entire family was disappointed. The pancit was just ok (I make better) and the fresh lumpia was just too sweet. The restaurant lacks ambiance, it's a bit dingy and the music was too loud. The service needs improvement and the prices are quite high. Personally, I hope the family never wants to go back.
