Lloyd's Patty Plus - Calgary

They have the best Jamican Patties. If you go on the weekend, ask for some jerk sauce to dip your pattie in. I would recommend getting spicy beef and spicy chicken patties ?

Just picked up two Pattie’s from here, a regular chicken and spicy beef. Served hot and tasted great.

I've been coming to Lloyd's for over 30 years. Spicy Chicken Patty is all I buy and occasional Few pounds of J Chicken. I get the craving and arrive excited... every time. The flavours are consistent to fix the craving....but the disappointment of being stabbed through the heart by an old friend, as I see the size of the Patty shrinking over the years. It has become a quarter of what it used to be. The filling used to be meaty and would gently flow out of the sides on the first bite, hot and spicy with a crispy crust and 2 patties with kola would fill you up.....alas now it's just a tablespoon of filler paste with chicken flavor. I understand inflation and would rather pay alittle more for a good solid product than to receive a disappointing sample size of air that leaves you hungry and in tears. This does not represent Jamaica. You never leave Jamaica sad and hungry...Jah Bless Jamaica. I have been going to Lloyd's for the past 32 yrs. When they had the other location in Marlborough, never had an issue. Recently I visited bought some Beef meat was cooked to perfection.the inside part of the pastry was still raw and doughy. Bring it to the owner attention, he was very defensive. Saying that's the way it supposed to be. Mr Lloyd's remember the customers rights. When someone brings a issue regarding to your product., please do not get aggressive. Once tried their goat curry and was disappointed, seems like it was frozen and was defrost, it was not still cold in the center. Please asked for receipt when doing any purchases, just incase you get sick. Customer services on the front was a disappointed, seems like they are working for the money. Could care less about the customers. Poor customer service. Quality is going downhill.

Best Jamaican patties in Calgary IMO. Spicy ones are so good but really all of them are delish. Busy place but solid and worth it.
