I stopped in for lunch the other day, it was excellent, fast friendly service and the sushi was fabulous. The sashimi was excellent, generous portions. The Double Happiness roll is great. Everything was fresh, clean, well prepared. I will eat here again. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hana Sushi:
Located in the "Trendy Artsy" Community of Mission which has a great selection of restaurants however has no really good places to eat Japanese food. Tempura batter was saturated in grease -Tuna Tataki was very average no inspiration in this dish -Dynamite Roll very average -Teriyaki chicken greasy without much flavour - Restaurant furniture and decor is so outdated and worn out (scruffy) ... Service is just ok ... R... View all feedback.
Delicious food and great atmosphere! I recently visited this restaurant in Canada while on vacation from Las Vegas, and I was very impressed with the quality of the sushi. The night ambiance was cozy and perfect for solo dining, a romantic date, or a small group gathering. I appreciated that they used reusable chopsticks, which were sturdy and good for the environment. The spicy dishes had just the right amount of heat, making them enjoyable without being overwhelming. I tried the Spicy Salmon Roll (5/5), Lover's Roll (5/5), Spicy Salmon Nigiri (5/5), and Cajun Prawn Nigiri (5/5) - all of them were delicious and well-sized. I especially loved the unique twist on the nigiri dishes, with larger portions and flavorful combinations. I would definitely come back for more!
I enjoy this Japanese restaurant for its relaxing atmosphere. Prior to the pandemic, I felt that the tables were too close together, lacking the space and privacy I desired. However, all of my meals here have been consistently delicious and fresh. The staff is friendly and efficient, always going above and beyond to accommodate any special requests. I particularly appreciate their willingness to offer delivery options if needed. Some of my favorite dishes include the miso soup, sushi and sashimi combo, agedashi tofu, salmon and tuna tataki, Hana calamari, shrimp sunomono, udon soup, assorted tempura, chirashi Don, Hana boat platter, and assorted sashimi platter. Although I no longer live in the area, I still make a point to visit occasionally. If you're looking for good Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices, I recommend checking out this restaurant.
This restaurant is one of the top sushi spots in town, with excellent service. The fish is consistently fresh, and the portions are healthy. However, the sushi could benefit from a bit more rice. The main drawback is that the tables are placed too closely together, making intimate conversations difficult. Unlike Kinjo or Sho, which offer booths for added privacy.
This place has very good sushi. I was very impressed! The black pearl roll and Fuji roll are delicious! They also have amazing bacon wrapped asparagus and very good tuna tataki. The location is also so nice inside! I highly recommend! The only thing I had that was only okay was the Hana roll, though it looked beautiful.
Been here twice and I love the quality of fish and the food they serve here. Calgary has a plethora of sushi restaurants that it 's hard to find the good ones. From my observation, Canadian Japanese restaurants have been trying to creative with new rolls which involve lots of sauces (unafi, spicy mayo, wasabi mayo... List can go on). But here.... You get good quality rolls without the heavy sauces to make it taste good. And the salmon sashimi. Girl. Go. Get. It. It melts in your mouth, tastes SO good and a decently cut (not traditional Japanese 'size ' but it will do).
