Filos Restaurant - Calgary

We were promptly greeted by a smiling host at the door and seated in the front dining section of the restaurant. There are tvs for sports viewing throughout with football, baseball and golf to view no volume which was fine, comfortable chairs and modern style ambience throughout. The middle section is bar style seating with either tables or booths with high vaulted ceiling and private back section is VLTs. The menu was extensive including anything from a steak and lobster to cod fish n chips, salmin, chicken, ribs, sandwiches, salads, appies, burgers, pastas, and pizzas...even a meatloaf with Spolumbos sausage...all looked great. All three of us loved the looks if the Pesto Chicken Linguini and it was fabulous. It had a cream sauce with mushrooms, light onion, bacon and spinach. I dont know what you could possibly add to this to make it any better. Kudos to the chef. Our server was very attentive and nice personality. Will definitely go to Filos again when we are in the area.

I needed some help throwing together a few things for a birthday party for my husband. I needed a bunch of wings and some Asian ribs to take out. I have lived in the neighborhood for a number of years and NEVER been to Filos. What a mistake. The manager was able to accommodate everything I needed and gave me a great price. Best part of the whole thing was that everybody raved about the wings and ribs. We had a lot left over and my family got to eat them over the course of the next week. Even reheated they were great. So, while we didn't eat in, the service we got was fabulous and we were so so happy with the food. Place didn't look too busy when I was there - what a shame.

We had a long time server of Filos and will never go back if he is working, or will sit at the bar for better service. Since the move and Reno, quality of food has gone down, as well as service. I used to love their pizza but now it is just over priced and mediocre. And you know if I wanted warm beer and not to be checked on by the waiter for half an hour I wouldn't pay full price for it. If I wanted bad service and gross food I would go to the lighthouse where the price reflects what you get.

Of all the times I have been to Filos only once did I have to return my dish! Not bad considering how many times I have been there. Saturdays is Prime Ribe special! Yum!

We have eaten here a number of times now. Best wedge fries I have ever tasted. Nice and crispy! A particular favorite is the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake (love saying it fast)!
