Clay Oven Modern Authentic Indian

Is it normal for servers to wear sandals? The waitress took off her shoes and crawled on the booth to open the sign.. The lentil beans and the naan bread was good.. but small portions and the butter chicken i had elsewhere.. going elsewhere because of the feet

I am at a loss for words to describe the exceptional service and food at this restaurant! The Naan was the softest I have ever tasted, even compared to ones in India. The Chat and Kheer transported me back to my time in India with my family. The staff is fantastic - very professional and friendly. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and is the perfect place to bring family and friends.

I have eaten here multiple times through skip, always been impressed. 1st time in person, still impressed! Amazing food. Beautiful restaurant. If a little small, but that is not thoer fault. I cannot get over the smells. So amazing! Beer is usual Tap beer, but man the food ROCKS!. A definite must if you want authentic Indian.

I have been dining at Clay Oven for over 25 years, both at their original location and their new one. Having tried several Indian restaurants in Calgary, I can confidently say that Clay Oven is the best. The butter chicken is incredibly flavorful, the samosas are crispy and generously sized, and the garlic naan is a favorite. The food is consistently fantastic every time we visit.

WOW! The owner/staff were very dedicated and you could taste it in the food. Absolutely fresh naan incredible! Some of the best we have ever had. The Gobi and Bharta dishes tasted just like they were homemade. Non vegetarian dishes were not as unique. However, when it comes to vegetarian food in a buffet, this may have been the best experience we have had.
