One man (o... read more Our group ate here twice during our stay: the first day we arrived, two of us went down for an early supper around 4:30 pm. The restaurant was empty. One man (owner/manager?) sat at the bar, watching (loud) TV. He gestured to us to sit at the closest table, and brought menus over. I told him the seat back on one chair was broken. I switched the chairs, and he acknowledged what I said, though he didn't seem to particularly note (or be concerned about) the comment. Table and menus looked and felt dirty. Our meal arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and was well plated. The same man who greeted us served us.Serving staff arrived as we finished our meal, and seemed to be gearing up for the evening rush. They had been warned a big group was checking in.I wanted to order a gluten-free selection, and was told that they didn't have gluten-free pasta because of the BC wildfires and a busy previous weekend. I settled for the shrimp "salad". It was a very small portion for $16, and I left feeling unsatisfied. 4-5 large prawns, on a small bed of chopped lettuce, with a few pieces of cooked red peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms. Tasty, but not enough to call it a dinner meal.My companion loved her lasagna with garlic bread so much that she went back a second time and ordered the same thing. $16 for a good sized portion of lasagna that's not very spicy. $4 for coffee, so we made it in the room after dinner instead of having it with dinner.Second time our group went, I didn't join them. They were satisfied with their portions, and their meals. Pricing is comparable to other hotel restaurants, and the food seems to generally be good.

The customer service was terrible; the bartender spent so much time chatting with a lady that he completely ignored us for about five minutes. When we returned to pick up our order, the same staff member was there and continued to overlook us. We were actually starting to walk out when he finally called us back to say our order was ready! The prices are outrageous for the portion sizes you receive. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have a lot of money to waste on bad food and poor service.
