California Thai - Calgary

I ordered the beef pad Thai with traditional sauce to go and was extremely disappointed! It didn't taste very good, and there were only about 4 pieces of beef in the dish. The sauce was also not very tasty, and the noodles were overcooked. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

My husband and I went to pick up food, as it was our first time being there. Previously we used to go to Taketomi in N.E. The food was hit and miss but it was a dirty restaurant. We stop going there and we’re looking...for Hakka restaurants in NW, were we leave. We came across this restaurant thru internet search of Hakka chinese food. So we thought we will give a try and order out just in case. We ordered Manchurian chicken soup, very tasty and freshly made infront of us. We ordered stiry fry and Thai yellow curry. The food was delicious and tasty to our liking : The serving is generous and could feed an extra person easily. I definitely recommend!

Went to the restaurant on a Friday night with 8 Family members. The place was extremely busy but the food quality and taste was absolutely top notch. Ginger Chicken, General Tso Chicken Stir Fries were amazing. Shanghai Singapore Noodles were above Average. Mixed Griddle...was just top notch. Appetizer Wings and Satay Chicken were above average. There are halal options available. Chicken is halal always. Beef can be tricky as most times the stir fry beef is not halal. You can call ahead to make sure. I would highly recommend to the owners to stop the confusion and just utilize halal meat across the board. Service is very friendly and the pricing is very reasonable. Thank you.

Thai is always desirable, but a questionable option for a vegetarian. Many of the dishes can have fish sauce as a base, rendering much of the menu off limits for me. The friendly staff at California Thai were very knowledgeable about the dishes, asked me...how I felt about the fish sauce, then guided me accordingly. Food was prepared quickly, was fresh and tasty!

We picked up dinner from California Thai in Crowfoot. We had the shrimp spring rolls, satay chicken, beef red curry, and shrimp tom yum soup. All the food was good and the servings were large. Service was pleasant and fast.
