This was our third choice for food in the area, because it was a busy Friday night and we didn't want to wait in line. Got in right away, and we were not disappointed. Great service, amazing food! I had the fettuccine carbonara, but without bacon or chicken, added mushrooms, it was so so good! My husband had the sushi, and it was also wonderful, and the wings were decent. Great experience. What User doesn't like about Browns Socialhouse Mount Royal:
I am not averse to experimental brewed beverages, and my favorite beers include Guiness and most pale ales. We sampled two of the beers here, the nightly pale ale and another which tasted like chocolate. Neither of us liked this beer. We gravitated to a lager..which was eventually the only selection quaffed by any of the six in our party. We stayed for appies - calamari, wings and ribs...all were fine. The six of us... Browns socialhouse has emerged throughout the alberta, I think this is the third location I visited. the position of mount royal village is really.
More stars would have given the place where not music with f**k and n he was irradiated any other word. how is this even suitable for a place that allows it.
Beautiful place with friendly waiter. that was okay. very cool atmosphere on the terrace. we just made it in time before the kitchen is closed!
Overall, I was very impressed with this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the prices were affordable. The only suggestion I have is that they should use larger ice cubes in their cocktails. Other than that, my experience was excellent!
I visited Calgary last week and this restaurant was conveniently located just down the road from my friend's apartment. I had brunch here and it was excellent. I tried the Crooked Cork and it was flavorful and filling. The servers were very friendly and attentive.
