However, some customers have complained about issues with automatic gratuity. Overall, the restaurant seems to have mixed reviews, with some having a great experience while others left disappointed and unsatisfied. Consider visiting this chain with cautious optimism.
We like Boston Pizza but unfortunately this one is the closest to work. This is probably the worst of the chain in Calgary.Went here again tonight since it was rush hour and didn't want to fight traffic to get up to Crowfoot.Ordered 2 irish coffees. the worst irish coffees i have ever had....how can you screw up an irish coffee? No sugared glass, no cream, maybe a drop of whiskey in it and COLD, stale coffee!!!!! I complained so the waitress took them away and brought us 2 of the same thing. Waitress brought coffee creamer to see if that would help....it didnt. Didnt feel like complaining again so drank the gross irish coffee.Ordered our meal. Took 40 minutes to get it. Over cooked chicken bites but the flat bread was ok. The waitress has the personality of a cloth and the manners of a chair. The music was so loud you couldnt talk to your tablemate and I had to ask to have the disgusting sweaty and **** wrestling **** on the big screen tvs turned to something else. Do they not monitor this??Spoke to the manager but he didnt offer anything to alleviate our bad experience. So decided that I would write a bad review.Honestly this place sucks and I dont even think they know it.
So we arrived at this Boston Pizza today with a small sports team. We sat down at 12:15. It took fifteen minutes to get our drinks ordered and another 15 minutes to get the drinks. We then sat there and waited for our meal orders. It took a total of 2.5 hours! I can excise the fact that a surprise team can sometimes cause challenges but this type of restaurant should be able to handle it. Boston Pizza restaurants are notoriously slow but this one took the prize. The worst part was that when I got the bill for a plate of ribs, fish tacos and two kids spaghettis the grand total was $68! Apparently they had already factored in a tip. I should have never tipped but I did and so I paid more than $70 for this garbage meal. I am now washing my hands of all Boston Pizzas. Their restaurants serve mediocre food anyway, they are way overpriced, and the service is atrocious no matter the restaurant it seems. Bye bye Boston Pizza! You got your last dollar from me.
During another business trip to Calgary, I stayed in the motel village and arrived at the hotel at 8pm feeling very hungry and famished.
Our family met at Boston Pizza for dinnerwe were told, we would have to wait 20 minutes for a table to accommodate the size of our group - it took 45 minutes to seat usafter we ordered, it took another 45 minutes to get a plate of nachos to share then another hour before our entrees arrivedthe service was extremely slow even for a Friday eveningthe orders were not followed as requested and the staff did not appear to be very experiencedvery youthful staff and not particularly service oriented...disappointing really...
Stopped here for supper last Friday evening. We had to wait to be seated in a section that was not even set up for us when we were taken to it. The hostess was pleasant enough. Our server took awhile to get to our table and was hit and miss for most of the evening regarding bringing things to us. The food took a very long time to arrive and the saving grace of the evening was the balloon man "Mr. Stretch". the kids loved him and he made the experience much better. I don't know if I would not return to this location as it was too slow considering it was not that busy ( I was a server before and know that little things like making sure that your guests are happy and that the basics are on the table make a huge difference).....
