The food was great! My husband and I are vegetarians, and we just loved the selection that was available for us to enjoy. We also found the food tasty and mild which we love, because when the food is too spicy, we feel that...we cannot taste anything with our burning tongues! They do offer all kinds of sauces that one can add to their plate. We went for the buffet on a Saturday. The place has been renovated, it is cl... View all feedback.

My wife and I were invited by her longtime friend to visit this place together, for the first time. The friend, East Indian nationality by way of Rwanda, has family experience in making their own spice and food preparation and therefore holding much weight in the opinion of any restaurant we try, so we trust her.Located in "Little India" district, NW corner of McKnight and 52st., full of options to choose, the afternoon relax and eat, was a delightful, though smaller selection, was worth it.I personally am attempting to NOT go to buffets because I do tend to over indulge, so, this made it easy for me to have a wide taste sampling of good quality dishes, without being somewhat glutinous (we don't hear many talks about overeating these days/I'm just sensitive to the subject.) In other words, very happy am I to say I thoroughly enjoyed the food, the quantities and the great after taste. All the spices were adjusted to with a nice mix of yogurt and butter milk.Highly recommend Bombay Sweet House in NE Calgary.
This was the first time I was having a Bombay snack about which I had heard a lot from my friends. Our Amchi-mumbai snack is very famous in whole of India. But finding the same with same authenticity in a place like Calgary was the best part of my recent visit to Calgary.
We love going here for their buffet. 12 items plus salad bar and desserts. Everything is hot and delicious. Servers are friendly. Prices reasonably.

I met a friend here for lunch and we were seated right away. There were some other people in the restaurant but it wasn't too busy for a Friday afternoon. We did the buffet and there was some good selection but I would have loved to have some somasas, pakora, and some vindaloo. The service was good, the food was good, and the price for the buffet was good. The Butter Chicken was amazing but I am not too sure I will go back any time soon.
