I fave eaten in the restuarnat at the Austrian Club but not often in the lounge. I was there on a Thursday night - it was almost full. The menu is similar but not identical to the restaurant but my favourite (Wiener Schnitzel) was there. Great ambiance, great service, and lots of good food - I'll be back to the lounge soon. The waiter at the restaurant seemed rushed and busy, which was reflected in his expression. The ambiance was in line with the club's usual style. I was hoping for a higher quality meal, but it was just okay. View all feedback.
The TransAlta retirement club attend a monthly lunch at the Austrian Club of Calgary. The meal is always ready on time and delicious. The staff is helpful & will provide substitute meals to compensate for allergies. They can also provide if the total count is different than the attendance.
My wife and I went to this spot recently for lunch and had a great meal. There are lots of items on the menu; something for everyone.

My husband and I went there for our friend's birthday party. There were sbout 35 guests and we had a private room. The food and service were excellent.
We have been here for lunch several times and tried different items each time, I have to say the food is excellent and authentic. The portions are ample and extremely tasty, the chef does a great job on the extensive menu. Under age persons are allowed to dine accompanied with adults, you can check out the menus online to determine your selection prior. Lunch is in the lounge area, and yes there are the standard pub food available which we didn't try as we going for the experience. They have bottled beer, and Big Rock on tap, my favourite is Hacker-Pschorr on tap, it's brewed in Munich and tasty, I like to sample the local beer where ever we travel. The lunch specials are about $16 and included a choice of two soups, the special and a delicious dessert. We went for the dinner items ranging from $15 to $18 and did it ala carte, ordered two soups for the three of us to sample and finish off (fabulous flavours). We didn't have room left for dessert as the lunch and fresh buns were ample. We have started making this place a regular on Saturdays when fast food just doesn't seem appetizing, and it's a great place to meet up with friends.
