We went to this restaurant yesterday and loved it. We ordered the meat pizza and the lasagna with garlic bread and soup. So yummy. The service is amazing. Our server was very friendly. View all feedback.
What Chet Bayer doesn't like about Al's Pizza:
Was tired of typical take out pizza. Wanted to try a real pizza. The crust was very soggy and the toppings all slid off. The wings weren't bad for flavour but greasy and undercooked. View all feedback.
Looking for nice pizza we were this peculiar place, look like 80's but the pizza there was great, good service and relax atmosphere, so I can recommend this place anytime. Enjoy!
Their pizza is too thick. We had an extra large today and the dough was not quite cooked under the toppings. Their Greek salad has a dark tangy dressing that is not oil and vinegar. It was tasty but not like a Greek salad. The seats are very uncomfortable. They bought cheap furniture and it shows. Also, when we asked for their internet password we were told, "sorry we don't give it to customers, it's only for business purposes.!
We walked in around 6 pm on a week night and thought we entered a time warp to 1970. There was nobody else in the place when we entered, and other than pick ups, nobody else came in to dine during our visit. The waitress and kitchen were very busy with pick up and take outs. Nothing fancy here, the decor is old, dated and worn. Service was very friendly. Salads were very good. Pizza and chicken parmigiana were old school good. Garlic bread was fine as well. Nothing getting knocked out of the park here, but if you're in the area, it'll work.
Sunday, buy ANY beverage, and get ANY pizza 50% off. Catch is, it's 75¢ extra per slice for any slices you take home. Inner Voice said, "try the ribs"! So I did. Full rack of ribs, salad, garlic toast, beautifully baked potato, generous helping of veggies, cooked, but still with a nice bit of crunch. Ribs came with a half-dozen young asparagus spears as garnish. And a fountain beverage, all for just over CAD$20. Friendly service that was attentive, without hovering. Fairly brightly lit, and though busy, not noisy, even with a handful of kids. Been coming here for ages for the great pizza - I now happily endorse the ribs!
Service and food r top-notch. Great family-run, friendly neighborhood establishment. They make it right. Quality food and healthy, more-than-enough portions. Pizza and pasta and salads r faithful, trusted tried and true standbys. Great family restaurant tucked in the Ranchlands neighborhood. Save room for leftovers the next day.
