Attended a staff Christmas party at Aladdin's Casbah. It far exceeded my expectations! My first time having Lebanon cuisine and it was delicious. The atmosphere was great and the service was top notch. It was a wonderful experience, watched a beautiful belly dancer, tried the hookah and thoroughly enjoyed myself. View all feedback.
What Orval Abernathy doesn't like about Aladdin's Casbah:
I think food quality and food value could be significantly improved at this restaurant. The food was almost boring and nothing our group ate stood out. The service was sporadic - even though the place was not busy. It felt as though they were taking us for granted but maybe that is just excessive casualness. View all feedback.
I was in town on vacation. My fishing guide recommended this place. Well after making reservations so could sit inside for 8p. the one gent wouldn't seat me until I insisted I had made reservations and then sat me st a small table for two on fall wall. Three of these were empty FYI and never filled while there. Well I waited n waited. There were some olives that were mushy and some pickled radish which was tough along with a plastic bag of store bought pita sitting on each table Sat there for 10 min before a lady speaking no English brought glass water and dropped off menu. I asked about wifi as would need to Uber back n cell not working in Canada. 30 min later she returns and try to ask her about menu what would be quick as needed to get back to hotel by tenish since getting up st five to fish! Well flustered she left and then returned with a card with the wifi password that earlier she had said didn't have. All around ordered and being served. After 45 min of this charade I got up and left. No one even seemed to notice or care. Went next door lively neighborhood Italian been there for decades. Wine in less than two minutes and meal soon after. This place deserves a zero. Poorest service and what place of any standard puts pita still in a plastic bag on the table? The places I go to back in Austin make it in house!
We love Lebanese food, and have sampled restaurants from across Canada and in Europe. This is definitely a great example of quality Lebanese cuisine. We were a group of 6 adults and 3 children.... their attention to the kids was equal to the attention to the adults. Terrific. White linen table clothes, and family friendly service. Comfortable, nice atmosphere, great service. We were thoroughly impressed. We will definitely be back, with friends and family. Try both the Shrimp and Shish Taouk !
Normally go with small parties of friends, and this time it was a big party of 30 people on a Saturday night. Place was packed and we knew that it was worth the wait as the food is always fresh and delicious. On the other side of the restaurant was another large party going on, and Brian and Sandra made us all feel welcome and we all started to enjoy the atmosphere and good food.Western standards want the meal to be served asap and then they leave. Mediterranean/Middle Eastern culture is one of turning a meal occasion into an evening of cuisine excellence, entertainment, chatting with other guests, and not breaking the bank as you certainly get value for your buck.If this is not for you, go to Boston Pizza, Dennies, or the likes.

Had visitors from Toronto and took them out to Aladdin's. Very very slow service! When I asked about the meals 45 minutes later, the chap says," we're busy"! Then he says the food is on the "grill". 20 minutes later the food arrives. The rice is cold! When I complained, he says, "you're the only person complaining!" But he was very smart , he added in the 15% tip for a table of 4! Best thing ever. If there was some remorse, something, I could/may have returned. Don't go there. Smells of "hookah," poor service and attitude but at least it got me to write thus review.
