The Garden Kitchen and Bar - Calgary

Good food for a good price. Wide selection of dishes in the menu. The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant wasn't so busy, so it wasn't even loud. Good place for lunch.

Finding parking was a challenge but getting on the inside made up for the lack of parking. I had a date night with my wife and we got there for 6pm. The place wasn't buzzing but persons were present. The ambiance wasn't bad. I plastic flowers wasn't helping the look. The meal was very good from the ceasar salad to the pasta that we ordered. The meal didn't need any dessert as the amount provided left us full. The price was further reduced as we bought our ticket through GROUPON. so the cost was very minimal for a good evenings meal.

Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water.
